Kaká is a Brazilian midfielder, playing for Real Madrid and the Brazilian National team. Interested in both tennis and football from an early age, he decided to focus on football at age 15 and has become a dedicated and virtuous player. He is known for his humanitarian efforts as well, and was the youngest Ambassador of UNICEF at the time of his appointment. He moved to Real Madrid in June 2009, signing a six-year contract for Ł68.5 million.

Cristiano Ronaldo, a Portuguese footballer, is a winger for Real Madrid and was captain of the Portuguese National team. His transfer from Manchester United to Madrid, for Ł80 million, turned out to be a great loss for Manchester United. He won the first UEFA Champions League title and was named as the player of the tournament.
Ronaldinho is a Brazilian footballer who plays for the Italian team Milan and the Brazilian National team. Before he moved to Milan, he played for Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona, where he won his first Champions League. He received his nickname because he was the youngest and smallest player in the youth clubs.
Samuel Eto’o (Barcelona)
Samuel Eto’o, a Cameroonian footballer, is a striker for Series A-club Barcelona. He set a record by scoring more than 100 goals with FC Barcelona. He is an extremely quick and outstanding finisher, aiming toward the goal post. He usually plays second fiddle to Ronaldinho (see #3). He is a member of the Cameroon National Team and participated in the Squad tournament at the 2000 Olympics. He has twice been champion for the African Nations Cups.

Michael Essien is a Ghanaian footballer playing for Chelsea and the Ghana National team as a midfielder. He is known as a one-man wrecking crew and has been one of the most expensive African footballers of all time. He played brilliantly at the 1999 FIFA U-17 World Championship in New Zealand, and he also had a trial a Manchester United.
Carlos Tevez (Manchester City)
Carlos Tevez, another Argentinean footballer, plays as a forward for the English Club Manchester City. He previously played for West Ham, Boca Juniors, Corinthians and Manchester United. He is a single-minded winner who willingly takes on many responsibilities. He is famous not only for his goals and assists, but also for his self-sacrifice and heroism.
Lionel Messi (Barcelona)
Lionel Messi is an Argentinean footballer playing for the Spanish Club FC Barcelona and the Argentina National team. He received several nominations for Ballon d’Or and FIFA World Player of the Year by the age of 21, and is considered one of the best football players of his generation. His playing abilities have been compared to football legend Diego Maradona, who declared Messi his successor.
Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)
Steven Gerrard, also an English player, plays for the English Premier League’s club Liverpool and the English National team. Though he has played as a sided midfielder and a second striker, he is placed in the central midfield. He has been the captain of the Liverpool team and has been honored by two football leagues FA cups, UEFA Cup and the UEFA Championship League.
Wayne Rooney (Manchester United)
Wayne Rooney, an English footballer, currently plays for Manchester United, Premier League and the English national team as a striker. He began at the very young age of ten, and his first goal lead him to the title of the Youngest Goal Scorer in the Premier League history. Initially, he was a part of Everton’s team and then moved to Manchester United for Ł25.6 million.
Francesco Totti (Roma)
Francesco Totti, a player who has won the Italian World Cup, currently plays for the Italian Series A club Roma. Though he is primarily a second striker, he also plays as an attacking midfielder. He is known as the number-one goal scorer, with a score of 179 goals, and is the most restricted player in Roma history.
